Arsenal have intensified their interest in Kenan Yildiz, making a formal enquiry for the Juventus forward.
The Gunners moved quickly once Turkey’s World Cup campaign ended, according to Turkish Football. Yildiz has long been viewed as Mikel Arteta’s dream left-wing target.
His stock could hardly be higher. The 21-year-old enjoyed a superb 2025-26 season, scoring 11 goals and adding 10 assists across all competitions.
He carried a misfiring Juventus attack for long spells, cementing his status as one of Europe’s brightest young talents.
Arsenal’s need for a left winger is pressing. The futures of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli remain uncertain, with both potentially leaving this summer.
Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta see the position as a clear priority. Juventus, however, are standing firm.
The Serie A club have no desire to sell their prized asset and would demand a fee well in excess of €100m (£86m) to even open talks.
That valuation reflects how highly they rate him. His contract strengthens their hand further. Yildiz signed a long-term extension in February, tying him to Turin until 2030.
The Bianconeri regard him as central to their future, and view him as indispensable regardless of missing out on the Champions League.
There are signs the door is firmly shut, too. The Athletic reports that Arsenal’s initial enquiry was rebuffed, with Juventus making clear the player is not for sale.
As a result, the Gunners are said to be weighing up alternative targets. Whether Arsenal return with a concrete offer remains to be seen.
For now, prising Yildiz away looks a formidable task, with Juventus holding all the leverage and the player tied down for four more years.
