Arsenal target Martín Zubimendi prioritising move to Real Madrid | OneFootball

After clashing on the field this week when Arsenal eliminated Real Madrid from the Champions League, it looks as if the two clubs will be at odds over the summer as they race for the signing of Martín Zubimendi (26).

The midfielder who plays for his boyhood club Real Sociedad has been in the sights of Arsenal’s new sporting director, Andre Berta. However, they are going to face stiff competition from Real Madrid.

According to a report from Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna, Zubimendi is prioritising a move to Real Madrid. Los Blancos are reportedly very interested in the Spain international and have explained their plans for where they hope to fit him into their system.

Arsenal and Real Madrid race for former Liverpool target

Zubimendi was linked with a departure from Real Sociedad last summer when Liverpool were interested in bringing him to the Premier League. However, he decided against the move and instead remained in the Basque Country at least for another season.
