The Premier League returns from its first international break with Arsenal hosting Nottingham Forest on Saturday at 12:30pm.
Arsenal (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Mosquera, Gabriel, Calafiori; Odegaard, Zubimendi, Rice; Madueke, Gyokeres, Eze.
Mikel Arteta’s side are title hopefuls and will be looking to bounce back from a defeat before the international break. There’s now the added story of former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou taking over at Forest.
This game will be broadcast live in the UK on TNT Sports 1.
We’re only in gameweek four of the 2025-26 Premier League season. But Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta already finds himself navigating a raft of injury concerns. And they head into Saturday’s game with question marks over a number of key players.
Centre-back William Saliba was withdrawn after just five minutes against Liverpool and may miss out with an ankle issue. Bukayo Saka is still a doubt with a hamstring issue suffered in Arsenal’s second game.
That key duo could join the confirmed absentees of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, with both attackers struggling with knee injuries. Christian Norgaard is yet to feature in a competitive game for the Gunners, but he may be in line for a debut, along with deadline-day signing Piero Hincapie.
Martin Odegaard did recover in time to come off the bench against Liverpool and should return to the starting lineup. Noni Madueke is set to start in place of Saka, with Christian Mosquera coming in for Saliba.
Summer-signing Eberechi Eze is in line for his first start for the club, while Benjamin White could also be back in contention after missing the last two games through injury.
The transfer saga surrounding Eberechi Eze finally came to a conclusion in late August as he sealed a big-money move to Arsenal. And the England international made his debut for the club off the bench against Liverpool.
Eze, who registered 16 goal contributions for Crystal Palace last season, is expected to make his first start for the Gunners this weekend. He’s likely to replace Gabriel Martinelli on the left flank of Arsenal’s three-man attack.
With Saka expected to be sidelined, Arsenal are likely to field an all-new front line of Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres, and Eze. And it will be interesting to see how the trio gel with one another.
Arsenal struggled to make an attacking impact against both Manchester United and Liverpool this season. So Arteta will be hoping the fresh blood up front provides the catalyst for an improved attacking display against Nottingham Forest.
