Arsenal to step up their interest in PSG winger Bradley Barcola | OneFootball

Arsenal FC are considering PSG winger Bradley Barcola (23) for a summer move, according to a report from the BBC. The Premier League champions are expected to spend big in the summer for a left-winger to bring competition to Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. Mikel Arteta’s Gunners were understood to have made Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers their primary target, but the Villans’ £130m valuation of the England international could cool off Arsenal’s interest.

On the contrary, the Champions League runners-up could entertain signing Barcola. The France international is reportedly viewed as a strong alternative to Rodgers by Arsenal’s recruitment cell. The BBC understands that Arsenal representatives will be in attendance on Tuesday night at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium for France’s World Cup last-32 tie against Sweden that Barcola is expected to start.

The outlet adds that Arsenal will be among clubs interested in Barcola should PSG were to entertain a sale, with Barcola’s contract expiring in two years’ time.
