Mikel Arteta says Riccardo Calafiori, Christhian Mosquera and Max Dowman are still expected to be a few weeks away from returning.

Calafiori has missed the last five games with a muscle injury and Arteta says he is still facing more games out.

“He’s progressing but we don’t know,” Arteta said on the Italian.

“I think it will matter for a few weeks probably but we don’t know exactly when.”

Mosquera, meanwhile, has been out for nine games with an ankle injury. Both he and youngster Dowman, who also has an ankle problem, are expected to be back in a few weeks.

“Very similar to Mosquera as well,” Arteta said on Dowman.

“Very similar injury, very similar timeframes,” Arteta said. “Both have been really well but they’re not training yet so they’re still a few weeks away.”

Meanwhile, both William Saliba and Leandro Trossard are doubts for the Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea having missed the FA Cup win over Portsmouth.

“The other two that we have are Willy and Leo,” he said. “Those two are a doubt because they’re not fit enough.”

Piero Hincapie is also set to miss the game, but Arteta says he is unsure of the severity of the defender’s injury.
