Gunners shift focus back to Premier League title race on what could be another pivotal weekend

Arsenal can tonight extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table when they host Everton.

A hard fought win over Brighton last time out in the league, coupled with Manchester City drawing 2-2 with Nottingham Forest means Arsenal have a seven point advantage at the summit, though they have played a game more.

The Gunners are up first this weekend and can open up a ten point lead over Man City, before they face relegation-threatened West Ham later in the day, with victory over Everton.

However, Arsenal will have their work cut out as Everton boast one of the best away records in the Premier League this season and are unbeaten on the road since December.

European qualification is the task for the Toffees between now and the end of the season, and they are more than capable of adding another twist to the title race.

Arsenal vs Everton is scheduled for a 5.30pm GMT kick-off tonight, Saturday, March 14, 2026.

The match will take place at the Emirates Stadium, in north London.

Arsenal vs Everton team news

Arsenal could welcome Leandro Trossard back into the squad after the forward sat out Wednesday’s 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League last-16 first leg.

Trossard did train with the Arsenal squad on Tuesday, but Mikel Arteta revealed the Belgium international did not feel right to feature at the BayArena.

Ben White returned to the matchday squad against Leverkusen and could get some minutes under his belt if Arteta opts to freshen things up, particularly with next weekend’s Carabao Cup final in mind.

Martin Odegaard is expected to remain sidelined, along with Mikel Merino, but Noni Madueke could be rewarded for an impressive cameo off the bench on Wednesday with a start instead of Bukayo Saka.

As for Everton, veteran defender Seamus Coleman and Carlos Alcaraz are set to miss out, while Jack Grealish - on loan from Man City, will not play again this season after undergoing surgery on a stress fracture in his foot earlier in the year.

Central defender Jarrad Branthwaite is expected to be available as David Moyes continues to manage his minutes after a long-term hamstring injury.

Every game is must-win for Arsenal at this point in their bid to be crowned Premier League champions for the first time in over 20 years.

That result at Brighton and subsequent draw for Man City at home to Forest has created a little buffer for Arteta’s side, but they can’t afford to get complacent.

Facing an Everton team that is so strong away from home should be enough to concentrate the minds of the Arsenal players and we expect them to grind out another win, thus putting pressure on City to respond.
