Konyaspor are interested in signing Sunderland defender Arthur Masuaku this summer. According to Yeni Açık, the Süper Lig club have identified the 32-year-old as a potential signing.
Masuaku joined Sunderland from Beşiktaş last summer, returning to English football after a spell with West Ham United.
Signed to add experience on the left of Régis Le Bris’ squad, he struggled to nail down a regular place. He moved to RC Lens on loan in January and spent the rest of the 25-26 campaign in Ligue 1.
His long-term role on Wearside looks uncertain as Sunderland reshape for Premier League, Europa League and domestic cups. Reinildo Mandava is established at left-back, with Aji Alese and Leo Hjelde able to cover, though whether both are Premier League ready remains to be seen.
Sunderland are expected to listen to suitable offers for fringe players, with outgoing business important under Premier League and UEFA squad-cost rules.
Masuaku knows football in Türkiye well after several seasons with Beşiktaş, a familiarity that could appeal to Konyaspor as they weigh defensive additions.
