Konyaspor are weighing a summer move for Sunderland’s Arthur Masuaku, with Yeni Açık reporting the Super Lig club have identified the left-back as a potential target.
The 32-year-old joined Sunderland from Beşiktaş last summer, having previously played for West Ham United in the Premier League.
Signed to add experience on the left of Régis Le Bris’ squad, he struggled to become a regular. He joined RC Lens on loan in January, spending the rest of the 25-26 campaign in Ligue 1.
His long-term status on Wearside is unclear as Sunderland reshape their squad for Premier League, Europa League and domestic cup football.
Reinildo Mandava remains an established option at left-back, while Aji Alese and Leo Hjelde can provide cover, though whether both can cope in the Premier League remains to be seen.
Sunderland are expected to consider suitable offers for players unlikely to feature regularly, with outgoing business important under Premier League and UEFA squad-cost regulations.
Masuaku has significant experience in Türkiye with Beşiktaş, which could make him an appealing option as Konyaspor assess defensive additions.
