Arthur signs new Leverkusen deal until 2031 | OneFootball

Arthur has extended his Bayer 04 Leverkusen contract until 2031, the club said in a statement.

The 23-year-old full-back has agreed a new deal running to 30 June 2031. His previous terms were due to expire in the summer of 2028.

Director of sport Simon Rolfes said Arthur’s qualities and passion mean he can help shape the club’s future. He noted serious injuries have slowed his progress so far, and stressed they aim to drive his development this season.

The Brazilian expressed his delight at staying with the Rhineland club, describing a family-like atmosphere and a place he considers home.

He called the extension a strong show of faith and pledged to repay it with performances and total commitment.
