AS Monaco ranked behind Chelsea in preparedness for the future | OneFootball

A report from the CIES Football Observatory has found that, from the 37 leagues across the world, AS Monaco are the second best prepared for the future.

The study took the minutes played by each club’s players, who have contracts that run beyond 2026, in the league this season. Chelsea top the list. 91.8% of the minutes disputed by their players in the Premier League this season have contracts that run beyond the end of next season.

Monaco rank second in the list with 91.3%. None of the Principality club’s current squad have a contract that expires at the end of the current campaign. Dutch side AZ Alkmaar close out the podium with 89.2%. Paris Saint-Germain also feature within the top five (87.9%). Stade de Reims are the next side to feature on the list, all the way down in 60th place with 68.3%. OGC Nice are 77th (65.4%) and RC Strasbourg Alsace are 83rd (64.2%), closing out the top five of French sides.
