AS Saint-Étienne bring Casino back as main shirt sponsor | OneFootball

AS Saint-Étienne announced on Wednesday that Casino will return as the club’s principal shirt sponsor for next season.

The move marks a return to the club’s roots.

It is the first time since 2001 that the group’s name will front the shirt. Back then, Géant, a chain owned by Casino, appeared on the kit.

The partnership reflects the club’s long-standing association with the retail group.

AS Saint-Étienne were founded in 1919 as Association sportive Casino by Geoffroy Guichard, who also founded the Casino brand.
