AS Saint-Étienne pay tribute to OL legend Fleury Di Nallo

AS Saint-Étienne have offered condolences after Olympique Lyonnais great Fleury Di Nallo died on Wednesday aged 83.
The club said in a post on X that great derbies need worthy opponents, that Di Nallo was one of them, and that they salute the memory of OL’s record goalscorer while sending sincere condolences to his loved ones.
Di Nallo scored 14 goals in 21 matches against Les Verts and remains the joint top scorer in the derby alongside Hervé Revelli.
In March 1962 he set his side on their way in a 4-0 win. His derby story ended with a 2-0 defeat in April 1974.
In the face of loss, Saint-Étienne set aside rivalry to honour one of French football’s great forwards.
