Asllani ‘to start’ RB Leipzig medical on Thursday | OneFootball

Fisnik Asllani is closing in on a move to RB Leipzig, with his medical set to begin on Thursday, Sky Sports reports.

Sky Sports said TSG Hoffenheim have given him the green light to complete the switch, while Leipziger Volkszeitung also reported the move on Wednesday.

The Kosovan international will sign a contract until 2031, with the transfer fee reportedly around €25 million.

Asllani enjoyed a breakout 2025/26, delivering 10 goals and 7 assists as Hoffenheim returned to European competition.

Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona were heavily linked earlier this summer, but Leipzig won the race to add another attacking prospect.

The former Germany youth international skipped Hoffenheim’s training camps to avoid jeopardising the move. Leipzig are expected to approve Yan Diomande’s transfer to Real Madrid for over €100 million in the coming days.
