ASSE injuries before Troyes, season over for Jaber | OneFootball

Mahmoud Jaber will miss the rest of ASSE’s season after a fresh setback. According to Le Progres, Florian Tardieu will also sit out Troyes on Saturday, and Philippe Montanier doubts he will feature again in the coming weeks.

Jaber had been sidelined for two and a half months before his comeback lasted only 36 minutes against Dunkerque. He was unused at Bastia last week, then underwent an operation in the days that followed.

Montanier told a press conference on Thursday 23 April that Jaber’s campaign is over. The midfielder will miss the home meeting with Troyes, scheduled for Saturday 25 April at 20:00 in the Chaudron.

Tardieu is training away from the group on a daily basis. Montanier said it would be difficult to see him back on the pitch before the end of the season.

Among the youngsters, Paul Eymard sustained a fractured tibia with the reserves at the weekend and has also had surgery, ruling him out for the run-in. Nadir El Jamali has returned to L’Étrat to continue rehabilitation after starting a multi-week protocol in Paris. Djylian N’Guessan is following an individual return-to-fitness programme.
