ASSE set out spring programme for 1976 run’s 50th anniversary | OneFootball

ASSE have set out a spring programme to mark the 50th anniversary of their 1976 run, with events from mid-March to May, according to Le Progres. The highlight is slated to be the final match of the season against Amiens.

Green fervour still endures. Fifty years on from that euphoric spring and the 12 May final in Glasgow, lost to Bayern, the club is preparing a fitting tribute.

The schedule, blending culture, heritage and transmission, is largely mapped out but not yet fully finalised.

For the celebrations to feel complete, the ideal would be for the heirs of 76 to have sealed promotion to Ligue 1 before that Amiens game.

The Ligue 2 fixture is set for Saturday 9 May at 17:00, a rendezvous chosen to honour Larqué’s team.
