Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest will meet in the Europa League semi-finals after both teams secured progress to the last four.
Aston Villa thrashed Bologna 7-1 over two legs as Unai Emery reached his seventh semi-final in this competition. The record four-time winner is now three games from a fifth Europa League trophy, and success with three different clubs.
The Villans will meet Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest in an epic all-Premier League tie. Forest booked their semi-final spot by beating Primeira Liga leaders FC Porto in the quarter-finals.
Vitor Pereira overcame his former team over two legs, with a narrow 1-0 win at the City Ground on Thursday proving decisive.
Morgan Gibbs-White scored the only goal, after former Southampton defender Jan Bednarek had been sent off for Porto inside eight minutes. The win was enough to send Forest into the semi-finals after a first-leg draw in Portugal.
SC Freiburg and Braga will contest the other semi-final tie.
Nottingham Forest host Aston Villa in the first leg of the semi-final at the City Ground on April 30th. The return will take place at Villa Park on May 7th. Both fixtures are an 8pm kick-off BST.
