Aston Villa are interested in signing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, and he is open to a move as he seeks regular minutes next season, according to ExpressAndStar.com.

If a deal can be struck, Unai Emery would be reunited with the forward from their time together at Villarreal.

Villa have already completed a season-long loan for Blues winger Alejandro Garnacho, with a conditional obligation to buy for about £40 million.

They want to bolster their attacking options after selling Morgan Rogers to Chelsea in a British record £117 million deal.

As it stands, Jackson is due to join Chelsea’s pre-season squad. New boss Xabi Alonso is keen to assess him after Bayern Munich opted against triggering a £56 million option following his season on loan in Germany.

The Senegal international has scored 30 goals in 81 Chelsea appearances since a £32 million switch from Villarreal in 2023, and he later left on loan after the club signed Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.
