Aston Villa are reportedly monitoring Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, with the Serie A club said to want €25-30 million for the Japan international.
The Daily Record reported on Wednesday that Walsall have agreed a deal to sign St Johnstone midfielder Sven Sprangler, subject to a work visa and with the Perth club willing to let the 31-year-old leave.
Suzuki, 23, joined Parma permanently in July 2024 on a five-year contract after a loan and has since become first choice. He came through Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan’s J-League before moving to Europe.
Villa’s interest in Suzuki comes as Emiliano Martinez continues to be linked with Juventus. The 33-year-old is said to have agreed personal terms with the Turin club on a three-year deal running to 2029.
Sprangler spent last season on loan at League Two side Newport County, where he caught Walsall’s attention.
