Aston Villa will allow Andrés García to leave on loan this summer after Unai Emery gave the go-ahead. The right-back joined last summer from Levante for seven million euros and is under contract until 2029.

According to Tribuna Deportiva, García already knows Emery’s short-term stance. The coach wants to protect the asset’s value and is content for the Spaniard to assess offers from the start of the window, seen as a reward for staying in January despite having played only 30 minutes.

Over the past five months, injuries and selection calls limited him to 53 Premier League minutes, 45 of them in the last match, against Manchester City, with nothing at stake. Across his first season, he featured in eight games, six in the league, one in the Europa League and one in the FA Cup.

García intends to go on loan next season to regain rhythm and regular minutes.

Valencia and Elche tracked him in January and remain among his La Liga suitors. Valencia have not yet made an official approach to Villa or the player’s camp, though Carlos Corberán wants to strengthen at right-back.

A return to Mestalla would appeal, but player and club plan to study the sporting merits of all proposals. Any move to Elche could depend on the profile of their new head coach.
