Giuntoli is set to take over Atalanta at the end of the season, which could impact the future of coach Raffaele Palladino. However, D’Amico’s landing spot isn’t yet known. Per Sky, Milan chased after him last summer after the appointment of Fabio Paratici fell through and before hiring Igli Tare. The latter could pay the price for their late-season swoon and the fact that their front office rarely sees eye-to-eye on most stuff.

Despite his unceremonious exit from Juventus, it’s a bold and interesting choice both for him and La Dea. He could have waited for bigger clubs, but he wouldn’t have had the same stability. Thiago Motta becomes a natural candidate for their bench, if his requests aren’t too lofty and if they have soured on Palladino. It’ll also be intriguing to see where D’Amico will go and if Roma will seize the opportunity rather than insisting on a long shot.
