Atalanta stance on Palestra ‘to push’ Inter towards Cambiaso, Frattesi could join Juventus | OneFootball

Inter’s hunt for Atalanta’s Marco Palestra could set off a chain of moves, with the fallback scenario potentially involving Davide Frattesi and Juventus. SportItalia has suggested that, if Inter switch targets to Andrea Cambiaso, Frattesi might be included in a player-plus-cash bid.

The first domino is likely Denzel Dumfries, whose release clause has been activated. The Inter wing-back is expected to join Real Madrid, the 15-time Champions League winners, in a €20m move soon.

Inter’s preferred replacement is Palestra, a 21-year-old Italy international who caught the eye on loan at Cagliari from Atalanta during 2025-26.

Dealing with Atalanta may not be straightforward. La Dea are under little pressure to sell, with a €45m sale of Ederson to Manchester United said to be lined up.

Atalanta are thought to want more than €50m for Palestra this summer, potentially up to €55m, while Inter are weighing an offer in the region of €45m.

If Palestra proves unattainable and a Cambiaso move advances, Inter could also propose Carlos Augusto to Juventus as an alternative makeweight.
