Atalanta defender Berat Djimsiti will reportedly miss the upcoming Serie A showdown against Inter Milan in Bergamo.

According to FCInterNews, the 32-year-old has suffered a long-term injury that will sideline him until 2026.

Currently away on Supercoppa Italiana duty, Inter will resume their Scudetto pursuit at the tail-end of the calendar year.

The Nerazzurri will face Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium on December 28, following their return from Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, he has racked up six Champions League outings, highlighting his importance to La Dea’s setup.

Not even a managerial change in early November has derailed his first-team status in Bergamo.

Indeed, new boss Raffaele Palladino has heavily relied on Atalanta’s long-serving stalwart since replacing Ivan Juric at the helm.

However, Djimsiti will be unavailable for Atalanta’s last home league game of 2025.
