Athletic name 25-man squad for Supercopa trip to Saudi Arabia | OneFootball

According to El Correo, Ernesto Valverde has named 25 players for Athletic’s Supercopa de España trip to Saudi Arabia.

They face FC Barcelona in the semi-final on Wednesday 7 January at 20:00 at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

All available players are included, with selection shaped by problems in defence. Reserve-team midfielder Eder García is called up to reinforce that area. Mikel Vesga missed training as a precaution but will travel.

The squad leaves on Tuesday at 14:00 and is due in Jeddah around 23:30, staying at the Hotel Hyatt Jeddah. They travel in search of a final place and, perhaps, a chance to fight for a fourth Supercopa on Sunday.
