Atletico Madrid play Arsenal in the Champions League tomorrow and their squad have been left angry after they were unable to shower with hot water following their training at Emirates Stadium this evening, according to Cadena SER journalist Pedro Fullana.
The Gunners host the La Liga club on Tuesday evening and the incident has left the visiting team fuming.
Atletico players and staff were forced to leave Emirates sweating and complaining about what they perceived as unfair treatment from Arsenal.
It is unknown if it was a deliberate attempt on the part of some at Arsenal to frustrate the visitors, but the Gunners are known for their class and the incident could have been a mistake or error.
However, Atletico are unlikely to believe that having hot water unavailable after their training was unintentional from the North London club.
Both clubs will be looking to pick up all three points at the expense of the other, and an exciting game is on the cards.
Arsenal head into their third Champions League game of the campaign on the back of just one draw and one defeat in 11 games across all competitions so far this term.
Atletico also have had a decent start to 2025-26 across all competitions, with two defeats and four draws to their name in 11 games.
Both clubs won their league games over the weekend and had impressive victories in their last Champions League matches.
Arsenal secured a 2-0 win over Olympiacos while Atletico won 5-1 over Eintracht Frankfurt, and there are no favourites heading into the game tomorrow.
The Spanish club will be looking to use what they perceive as a slight from Arsenal as motivation for the match on Tuesday evening.
The Gunners have been incredible this term and will fancy their chances of getting the better of the visitors in front of their home support.
