Atlético Madrid eyeing summer deal for Argentine international | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have set their sights on a summer deal for Argentine talent Thiago Almada.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has this weekend provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

Atlético are known to be on the lookout for reinforcements in the final third with a view to next season.

Following the departure of Ángel Correa, Diego Simeone and co. are keen on the addition of a player capable of making a difference in and around the penalty area.

And with as much in mind, one of Correa’s international teammates has made his way onto the radar of the Rojiblancos.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Atlético Madrid have made contact today to be informed on Thiago Almada as possibility for this summer. Atléti are informed on deal conditions as initial contacts took place; decision up to the club.’

Argentine international Almada, for his part, is fresh off a loan stint in France with Olympique Lyonnais, from parent club Botafogo.
