Atlético's Andrea Medina discharged from hospital after head injury | OneFootball

Young Atlético de Madrid defender Andrea Medina has been released from hospital after a scary incident during her side's Champions League clash against Juventus on Wednesday evening.

The Spanish youth international had been stretchered off following a head injury with the player then rushed to hospital.

However, fears for the player's health have been allayed after Atlético released a statement revealing that the player has now been released from hospital after passing various tests. The player will now undergo concussion protocol that will mean she is likely to miss at least a week of action.

The Madrid team did go on to lose their game 2-1 against Juve which means they are currently 10th in the league stage of the Champions League with three points from their opening three games.
