Spurs look to make it two wins from two as they head down under

Tottenham’s second pre-season fixture of the summer will take them down under to face Auckland FC in New Zealand.

Roberto De Zerbi’s men are gearing up for a Premier League campaign in which they will bid to get back to the upper echelons of the table after spending the previous two in the doldrums.

The club has invested heavily in this transfer window and some of those signings impressed last week as they beat MK Dons 1-0 behind closed doors at Hotspur Way.

Mateus Fernandes was the hero goalscorer there, rifling a superb volley into the top-right corner less than three minutes into his Tottenham debut.

They will hope to build on that result here as they face Auckland, the reigning A-League champions.

Auckland FC vs Tottenham is scheduled for a 4am BST kick-off on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

The match will take place at Eden Park in Auckland.

Tottenham left the injured quartet of Mohamed Kudus, Xavi Simons, Dejan Kulusevski and Wilson Odobert in London to continue their recoveries at Hotspur Way.

Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr, Pedro Porro, Marcos Senesi, Cristian Romero and Djed Spence also have not travelled as they continue to enjoy their post-World Cup holidays.

Jan Paul van Hecke and Andy Robertson are both in line to make their Tottenham debuts.

Auckland also have new signings to show off, with Aaron Calver signing on Friday. Fan favourite Louis Verstraete will play no part after leaving the club midweek.

While Tottenham will be contending with heavy, jetlagged legs, they will hope to make it two wins from two as they face Auckland, vastly inferior opposition on paper.

There was plenty of cause for optimism after the MK Dons tie, and we expect Spurs to build on that success with another win here.
