Augsburg sign Fortuna Düsseldorf defender Sima Suso on long-term deal | OneFootball

Augsburg have completed the signing of Sima Suso from Fortuna Düsseldorf ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

The 21-year-old defender has agreed a long-term contract running to 30 June 2031. Sporting director Benni Weber described Suso as versatile and already experienced, pointed to his regular 2. Bundesliga minutes last season, and said the club were pleased with his decision to join.

Last season he made 24 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga, scoring one goal, and can also operate in midfield.

Suso progressed through the Bayer Leverkusen academy and has four caps for the German under-20 national team.

He arrives as another promising addition to Augsburg’s squad for the new season.
