Aurélien Tchouaméni trained with the France squad on Wednesday but is not expected to start the quarter-final against Morocco on Thursday, kick-off 22:00 French time.

The Real Madrid midfielder joined the group on the pitches at Bentley University after adductor pain had sidelined him from the last-16 tie against Paraguay, according to L'Équipe.

Since that match he had been working away from the team, either in treatment or with fitness coach Cyril Moine, and on Wednesday he finally took part in ball work alongside his team-mates.

He should make the teamsheet for the quarter-final, although it remains unlikely he will play.

In midfield, Manu Koné is expected to start alongside Adrien Rabiot against Morocco.
