The limited MLS slate of games is underway this weekend, with games in Washington D.C. and Colorado.
Here is what went down.
Austin jumped pack into the playoff spots in the Western Conference after a solid win in Colorado Saturday evening.
After the visitors took the lead in the opening six minutes after a superb counter-attack, but it took until past the hour mark to kill the game off.
The win sees Austin leapfrog their opponents on the night back into the top-eight in the Western Conference.
The Chicago Fire put seven past D.C. United in a true demolition at Audi Field to kick off the weekend.
Gregg Berhalter's side were four goals to the good at the break, the best of the bunch coming in the opening 10 minutes when the visitors cut through United with a superb team goal.
The thumping victory is the Fire's third in their last five MLS games and sees them move back into the top-nine in the Eastern Conference.
Meanwhile it's a new low for D.C. United, who remain in 12th.
