The Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG supervisory board has agreed terms on a new contract with CEO Axel Hellmann, tying him to the club through to 30 June 2031.

The Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG supervisory board has agreed terms on a new contract with CEO Axel Hellmann, tying him to the club through to 30 June 2031. The agreement underlines Eintracht Frankfurt's commitment to maintaining continuity, stability and a clear strategic direction at the highest level of the club.Axel Hellmann has had a significant influence on the club for many years now, having been on the board of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG since 2012 and CEO since 2021. A qualified legal practitioner, he was already a member of the executive committee and managing director of Eintracht Frankfurt e.V. between 2001 and 2012, and as such has been with Eintracht Frankfurt for a quarter of a century. The contract extension, which comes into effect on 1 July 2026, means that the 54-year-old will remain with the club in the long term.

As CEO, Hellmann will continue to be responsible for overall strategy and business development, in particular Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG's digital business model, as well as heading the Communications & Brand, Marketing & Partnerships, Institutional Relations, People & Corporate Culture and Sustainability departments.

With his contract extension, we can gain planning security and create a foundation for us to continue down our chosen path, ensuring that we maintain a clear strategic direction, economic competitiveness and a healthy increase in growth - all while serving our members, fans, partners and the region as a whole.”
