Axel Tuanzebe joins Burnley on a free transfer | OneFootball

Burnley have confirmed the signing of defender Axel Tuanzebe on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old, who spent the past two seasons with Ipswich Town, made 44 appearances under manager Kieran McKenna. While predominantly used as a right-back, Tuanzebe is also comfortable playing centrally in defence.

After featuring 22 times in the Premier League last season, Tuanzebe has opted to stay in the top flight by joining newly promoted Burnley, turning down a contract extension from Ipswich.

The DR Congo international is understood to have signed a one-year deal at Turf Moor, becoming Scott Parker’s third addition of the summer window.

He joins Dutch left-back Quilindschy Hartman and goalkeeper Max Weiss as the latest arrivals at the club.
