Ayrton Lucas has deactivated his Instagram after Flamengo’s Recopa Sudamericana defeat to Lanús at the Maracanã. According to Coluna Do Fla, the left-back took the step to avoid criticism from supporters.

In the first half, Lucas played a weak pass back to goalkeeper Rossi. He failed to collect it, Castillo stole possession, then struck from near halfway to score.

Flamengo ultimately did not win by two or more goals. The Argentine side prevailed 3-2 in extra time and lifted the international title.

After full-time, some Flamengo fans posted criticism on the defender’s social media accounts.

Flamengo now turn to the second leg of the Campeonato Carioca semi-final against Madureira on Monday 2. Kick-off is 21:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
