Leon Bailey’s adventure in the capital hasn’t even begun yet.

As soon as he arrived in Rome, an injury sustained during his first training session stopped him and forced him to sit out immediately.

Checks carried out in the following days revealed a myotendinous lesion in his rectus femoris, which forced him to miss the first two matchdays of the season.

The Jamaican striker has already begun his rehabilitation program with the goal of returning by the end of September.

According to Calciomercato.com, he will undergo further tests in the coming days to determine the state of his recovery.

Barring any negative developments, Bailey could return to Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad for the trip to Nice.

More likely, however, is a call-up for Roma vs. Verona or, at the latest, the following week in Florence against Fiorentina.
