Barcelona have no intention of stepping away from their pursuit of Julian Alvarez, even though negotiations with Atletico Madrid are expected to be lengthy and complicated.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants remain completely convinced that the Argentine forward is the right player to lead their attacking project, with the club maintaining a calm approach despite Atletico Madrid’s position regarding a potential sale.

The latest Julian Alvarez to Barcelona developments suggest there is no sense of urgency within the club. 

Instead, Barça are prepared to remain patient as they continue working on what has become their biggest transfer objective of the summer.

Within the club, there is a belief that the player’s public desire to leave Atletico Madrid has significantly changed the situation. 

Barcelona feel that after making such a visible effort to push for an exit, they cannot afford to walk away from the operation.

The Blaugrana hierarchy is convinced they have made the right decision in targeting the Argentine international, particularly after his recent performances have reinforced their belief that he can become a cornerstone of the sporting project.

Although alternatives may eventually be considered if negotiations remain blocked for an extended period, Barcelona are absolutely commitment towards signing Alvarez.

However, Barça also believe Atletico intend to prolong the process for as long as possible in order to strengthen their negotiating position.

Communication between the two clubs has also become an obstacle because there is no working relationship between Deco and Mateu Alemany due to the latter’s past with the club.

The player’s representative is also understood to be in a difficult position with Atletico’s leadership, who reportedly blame him for encouraging the player’s desire to leave.

These factors have contributed to a tense atmosphere surrounding the Julian Alvarez transfer, even if Barcelona remain optimistic about their chances.
