Atletico de Madrid travelled to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys for their first leg of their Copa del Rey clash with Barcelona, and managed to stun the home crowd with a lightning fast start.

Two goals in just six minutes put Diego Simeone's side 2-0 up before Barça could even blink in this semi-final tie.

The first was netted by the in-form Julian Álvarez after just one minute, and the follow-up from Antoine Griezmann came in minute six.

It wasn't the first time that a Simeone team had done this to an opponent either, with stats revealing that Atleti had scored two in the opening six minutes of a game for the fourth time under the Argentine boss.

Barcelona hit back quickly though, with goals from Pedri and Pau Cubarsí within the space of three minutes.
