There are only a few weeks left till the end of this season, and despite the fact that FC Barcelona are still contending for all the big titles, there are frequent reports coming out about the Blaugrana club’s plans for the next summer transfer window.

A recent report indicated that instead of focusing on offensive reinforcements, the Catalans are now looking to sign a midfielder and a defender with the highest priority once the transfer window opens.

In such a context, Fichajes has named two players who are now present on the Barcelona reinforcement agenda, i.e., Tijjani Reijnders and Alejandro Grimaldo. Deco believes that these two players will not only increase the overall quality of the squad but will also bring more balance in two key areas of the field.

The Dutch midfielder Reijnders is currently plying his trade with the Serie A giants AC Milan, and has been highly impressive this season with his attacking ability, physicality, and vision. Still, only 26 years of age, he has also shown great consistency this season, thus attracting the interest of some big European sides.

The Dutchman has a contract with Milan till 2030, which means it would not really be easy for Barcelona to sign him. However, his profile is still a good fit for Hansi Flick’s side.

On the other hand, the defender Alejandro Grimaldo is also having a very good season in Germany, and he is proving himself to be one of the best fullbacks in Bayer Leverkusen’s squad. The Blaugranes are looking to bring more quality players for the fullback positions, and the Spaniard’s history with the Catalan club makes him an ideal candidate.

The player himself wants to return to Spain, but Barcelona will have to ensure they get over their FFP problems to ensure they can register these two players or any other players they sign next summer.
