There are still some weeks left till the summer transfer window opens, but seemingly, FC Barcelona already have their plans for the next market in place.
The Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo has published a report in this regard, which claims that there are up to four moves that the Catalans would be looking to make in this transfer window.
Firstly, Barcelona would be looking to keep the fullback Joao Cancelo in their team beyond the current season, even though his loan spell is ending at the end of this campaign.
Secondly, the priority of the Catalan club is to sign a forward, and for this purpose, they have identified Julian Alvarez as their primary target. However, Atletico are understood not to allow his departure cheaply, and thus, if he becomes too expensive, the Blaugranes can turn their attention to other alternatives like Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Osimhen, or Alexander Sorloth.
Thirdly, Barcelona would try to strengthen the center-back position, with Alessandro Bastoni in pole position to arrive, as he is willing to play his part to ensure a move to the Catalan club.
Lastly, the Blaugranes are yet to make a decision on Marcus Rashford’s continuity. If his permanent signing appears unfeasible, Barcelona can turn to other alternatives like Jan Virgili, Victor Munoz, Ez Abde, or Andreas Schjelderup.
Thus, the Catalan side is expected to have quite a busy transfer window as they look to bolster their team ahead of the next season.
