Lamine Yamal’s recent injury and subsequent absence from the game against Valencia have caused a lot of anger within the Barcelona camp against the Spanish national team.
On Saturday, Hansi Flick had been highly critical of Spain manager Luis de la Fuente’s handling of the youngster despite being aware of the discomfort he was carrying.
Not only did Lamine start for Spain in their matches against Bulgaria and Turkey, but he went on to play more than 70 minutes on both occasions, infuriating Flick and Barça.
Now, according to MARCA, Barcelona want to close the controversy over Lamine Yamal’s injury while on duty with Spain. Both Flick and the club’s executives now consider the dispute settled.

Indeed, Barça view it as essential to strengthen communication protocols and improve coordination between the RFEF and clubs, particularly when players join up with minor injuries.
The La Liga champions believe joint efforts are needed in order to protect the players’ well-being.
For this reason, Barça sporting director Deco is expected to open dialogue with Aitor Karanka, technical director for development and the senior men’s national team, to build bridges and encourage smoother information-sharing.
The injury to Lamine cannot be reversed, but steps can be taken to prevent similar situations in the future.
As for the 18-year-old prodigy, he missed Sunday’s game against Valencia and is unlikely to recover in time for the upcoming UEFA Champions League clash against Newcastle United.
