In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Barcelona are eyeing a move for Borussia Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi. It has been mentioned that the Catalan club are eager to acquire the services of the German talent next year.

Adeyemi’s Impressive Form In The Bundesliga

Adeyemi has made a good start to this campaign as he has put in a few eye-catching displays for Dortmund in the final third. The German playmaker has featured in six matches for the German outfit this season, scoring three goals and picking up a couple of assists in various competitions.

The 23-year-old has given a good account of himself on the right flank as he is averaging 3.82 shots per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has kept 36.4% of his attempts on target. However, Adeyemi needs to improve his link-up in the opposition half after making just 67.6% of his attempted passes in the German first division (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at Signal Iduna Park will run out in the summer of 2027. Thus, Barcelona could potentially sign him on a cut-price deal at the end of this season.

Should Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick Move In For Adeyemi?

Adeyemi is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net. He can strike the ball with power from long range and can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas.

The German sensation is primarily a right-winger, but can also operate as a left-sided wide player or as a striker if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga if Barcelona manage to get him on board next year.

We can expect Adeyemi to bring more quality and depth to Barca head coach Hansi Flick’s frontline. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Nou Camp over the next few years.

At 23, the future looks quite promising for Adeyemi as long as he continues to improve with each season. Hence, it makes sense for the Catalan giants to move in for him in 2026.
