La Liga giants Barcelona maintain a keen interest in the signature of Flamengo youngster Wesley.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Barcelona, it is understood, are on the lookout for reinforcements at full-back with a view to the 2025/26 campaign.

And, amid their ongoing search, Deco and co. have reignited their interest in bringing in the aforementioned Wesley from Flamengo.

The Blaugrana previously attempted to bring the defender in back in 2023, only to see Flamengo’s demands prevent a deal from being found.

Wesley, though, remains high on the agenda at the Camp Nou, considered a potential star in the making.

The understanding is that Flamengo are ready to sanction his sale this summer, but will demand a sum in the region of €35 million.

And this sum could well prove a stumbling block for Barcelona, amid rival interest in the 21-year-old’s services by way of the Premier League.
