Barcelona booked their place in the Women’s Champions League final with a 4-2 win over Bayern Munich, sealing a 5-3 aggregate victory after the first leg finished 1-1 in Germany.
It was a lively start from both sides, but the Blaugrana struck first in the 13th minute. Caroline Graham Hansen broke down the right and whipped a dangerous ball across goal, with Salma Paralluelo on hand at the back post to finish from close range.
Bayern responded quickly and levelled just four minutes later. Pernille Harder slipped the ball to Linda Dallmann, who took a touch and fired low past Cata Coll, who couldn’t keep it out.
The game swung again almost immediately. Barcelona reacted well and Alexia Putellas pounced in a crowded box to restore the lead after some confusion in the Bayern defence.
After the break, Barcelona stepped things up. Paralluelo was involved again, delivering a perfect cross for Ewa Pajor to head home and extend the advantage.
Putellas then put the tie beyond doubt with a brilliant overhead kick to make it 4-1 on the night and send the home crowd into celebration.
Bayern did manage a late reply through Harder in the 71st minute, and even had another goal ruled out after a VAR check, but the damage was already done.
They now move on to the final in Oslo, where they will face OL Lyonnes.
