Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was on Saturday asked for his take on the drama behind the scenes at Real Madrid across the week to date.
This of course comes fresh off Los Blancos being forced to heavily fine two leading members of Álvaro Arbeloa’s squad.
Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni were involved in a major falling out at Valdebebas on Thursday morning, culminating in a physical altercation in the dressing room.
The former was later taken to hospital for a wound on his head, ruled out of this weekend’s Clásico as a result.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Saturday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the Valverde-Tchouaméni controversy was put to the aforementioned Hansi Flick.
Barca’s headmaster, though, was keen to play the topic down, assuring:
“This happens all over the world, so I don’t believe it’s something exclusive to Real Madrid. Was I surprised? Maybe a little, but in the end, I don’t care about it, because it’s not my club and not my team, and therefore I shouldn’t think about this matter.”
