Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was left nothing short of taken aback by the performance of one particular member of the defensive ranks at Inter Milan in the recent tie between the clubs.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Denzel Dumfries as the player in question.

Dutch international Dumfries of course stole the headlines over the course of a pulsating two-legged Champions League semi-final showdown between Inter and Barcelona.

En route to the former sending the newly-crowned Spanish champions packing from European competition for the season, the wing-back played a starring role from his berth on the right flank.

Fresh off a return from injury, Dumfries, incredibly, played a direct hand in five of his side’s seven goals, by way of a brace, and three assists.

And one individual on whom such excellence was not at all lost was the aforementioned Hansi Flick.
