The club season was a relatively successful fun for FC Barcelona, and La Blaugrana came away with two titles to their name. However, unlike the sensational season right before the most recent one, the Catalan giants had to deal with their fair share of injuries.
One player in particular who continuously got dealt a bad hand throughout the season was Brazilian forward Raphinha. Beyond just the matches that he had to miss at club level due to muscular injuries, he also had to remain sidelined for much of Brazil’s World Cup campaign.
Fortunately, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, his injury-riddled season finally comes to an end. The Brazilian star, who has missed 26 games for both club and country this season, can now finally focus on recovering fully and returning to preseason training.
With that set to commence on Monday, the Barça captain will be looking to get up to speed by then so that he can continue working on his return to the pitch. Following his first injury of the season back in September of last year, it is worrying to see just how much those troublesome muscular problems have plagued him throughout the season.
A previous report even highlighted how all of his injuries seem to be heavily concentrated in his right leg and that is genuinely a cause for concern. Now that he is done with international duty, Barça should focus extensively on his recovery themselves and ensure that he returns to action in the best possible way.
After all, Raphinha’s contributions for Barcelona extend way beyond just the goals and assists he provides. His intensity and energy are both effective and contagious, and it is vital for the club to help him through his recovery to ensure that he is able to deliver his best qualities yet again.
