Barcelona chief spotted with long-time transfer target ahead of Spain vs Portugal | OneFootball

Barcelona president Joan Laporta was on Sunday spotted in conversation with a played long rumoured as a transfer target at the Camp Nou.

The player in question? Nico Williams.

Wide-man Nico is for his part in the midst of preparations for a return to the pitch later this evening.

This comes with the Athletic Club star expected to feature from the off, in Spain’s Nations League showdown with Portugal.

As alluded to above, though, in the buildup to kick-off at the Allianz Arena, it is Nico’s club future which has again taken its place front and centre in the headlines.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of journalist Alfredo Martínez that the aforementioned Joan Laporta was spotted chatting with the attacker whilst visiting the Spanish national team camp this afternoon.

Barcelona expressed a keen interest in Nico’s signing last summer, chasing the 22-year-old throughout much of the transfer window.
