Despite enduring a rough start to 2026, Ferran Torres has found his mojo again in recent weeks and is closing out the season strongly with FC Barcelona.
The 26-year-old forward, who missed the Real Betis clash due to a minor discomfort, has netted 21 goals in 48 games and is expected to be available for the final match of the campaign against Valencia this weekend.
Now, according to SPORT, Barcelona are set to offer Ferran, whose current contract expires on June 30, 2027, a renewal to extend his stay at the club.
Following Robert Lewandowski’s departure, Barcelona’s sporting department is clear that they cannot afford to lose another centre-forward, even though Deco’s major objective this summer is to sign a top-class goalscorer in the summer.

The position still needs to be properly covered with strong depth, and in Ferran, Barça will have a player who has earned Hansi Flick’s complete trust through hard work and important goals.
Ferran Torres arrived at Barcelona in January 2022 from Manchester City for €55 million, and since then, he has scored 65 goals in the Blaugrana shirt.
His numbers and overall performances have become especially important over the last two seasons under Flick. After all, the 26-year-old is the team’s second-highest goalscorer this season, only behind Lamine Yamal.
For this, and also because of his importance to dressing-room balance, with Ferran being a close friend of Pedri, his continuity at the club is considered important.
The sporting department has not yet contacted Ferran Torres’ representatives, but they intend to do so during the summer.

Ferran, for his part, feels very comfortable at Barcelona and inside the Blaugrana dressing room.
As such, his only desire is to extend his contract and remain at Spotify Camp Nou for many more years, despite being aware that other clubs, such as Atletico Madrid, would also like to sign him.
The club’s intentions have been positively received by both the player and his agent, who had been somewhat irritated by rumours suggesting that Barcelona could place him on the market this summer. The reality, however, is that the Catalans are committed to his continuity.
