Barcelona consider summer move for Monaco star | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona are expressing a keen interest in the signature of a member of the defensive ranks at AS Monaco.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Vanderson as the player in question.

The Blaugrana, it is understood, have identified the right-back spot in Hansi Flick’s squad as an area in need of reinforcement for next season.

Whilst Jules Koundé remains the undisputed first-choice in the position in Catalunya’s capital, the consensus is that the options behind the Frenchman are not of the required standard.

A search for fresh blood on the right of Hansi Flick’s backline has therefore been kicked into gear.

And one name which has quickly come to the fore in talks over the ideal profile is that of the aforementioned Vanderson.

Brazilian international Vanderson, as per MD, boasts long-term admirers in the boardroom at the Camp Nou, with Deco particularly keen on a move for his signature.

The problem, however, lies in Monaco’s stance when it comes to as much.

The Ligue 1 outfit are in no rush to sell, and would only take into consideration offers in excess of €30 million.

It is therefore suggested that the Premier League is Vanderson’s most likely landing spot, in the case of a departure from Monaco coming to fruition.
