Barcelona dealt fresh transfer blow | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have late this week been dealt another blow on the transfer front. This comes amid the understanding that a deal for Chelsea star João Pedro is not on the table this summer.

Frontman Pedro has of course been hotly tipped to take his talents to Catalunya’s capital with a view to next season.

Fresh off a stellar individual campaign on the books of the aforementioned Chelsea, the Brazilian has been named as one of a number of potential replacements for Robert Lewandowski at Barcelona.

After Atlético Madrid made clear for the latest time on Friday that Julián Alvarez will not be on the move this summer, however, the Blaugrana have seemingly been forced to cross Pedro’s name off their list, too.

As per a report from transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘João Pedro, not among realistic alrernative options for Barcelona if Julián doesn’t join. Chelsea consider João untouchable and not for sale this summer.’
