Raphinha has undergone one of the most dramatic turnarounds at Barcelona. Once viewed as possible sale to help relieve the club’s financial pressure, he is now considered foundational leader in Hansi Flick’s project and player the club has no intent of parting with.

Under Xavi Hernandez, Raphinha showed flashes of quality but never fully convinced that he was irreplaceable.

Flick however has transformed his status. The German manager gave the Brazilian his confidence and the player responded emphatically becoming one of the pillars of the current Barca squad.

Transfer rumours shutdown

Spanish outlet Diario Sport reports that Barcelona now view Raphinha as strictly nontransferable. Despite rumours suggesting move to the Saudi Pro League after the 2026 World Cup, the club & player have made their stance clear "there will be no negotiations."

Not only has Barcelona rejected inquiries but Raphinha himself has reportedly turned down the idea of leaving.

Direct impact despite injuries

Despite missing key matches due to injury, Raphinha has shown efficiency whenever he plays. So far this season, he has:

  • Scored four goal
  • Provided three assist
  • Done so in only nine matches

With contract running until 2028, Raphinha is set to remain integral part of Barcelona’s medium & long term vision.
